Resetting your account password
If you’ve forgotten your password or need to reset it for security reasons, follow the steps below to create a new password for your account.
Step 1: Navigate to Password Reset
From the login screen, locate the password reset feature.
Step 2: Submit Your Email Address
You’ll need to provide the email associated with your account:
- Enter your email address into the designated field on the password reset page.
- Ensure that you've entered your email correctly to receive the password reset instructions.
- Click on the "Request password update" button.
Step 3: Check Your Email Inbox
Look for an email from the web archiving tool with reset instructions:
- Open your email inbox and look for an email with the subject line "Password Reset Instructions" or similar.
- If you don’t see the email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder.
Step 4: Follow the Password Reset Link
Reset your password using the provided link:
- In the email, click on the "Reset Password" link or button to be taken to the password reset page.
- If prompted, enter your email address again.
Step 5: Create a New Password
Choose a new secure password:
- Enter your new password into the "New Password" field.
- Confirm your new password by entering it again in the "Confirm New Password" field.
- Make sure your new password is strong and meets any outlined security requirements.
Step 6: Save Your New Password
Complete the reset process:
- Click on the "Save" or "Reset Password" button to update your account with the new password.
- You will receive a confirmation message indicating that your password has been successfully reset.
